Five Trillion Naira Hit From Nigeria's contributory Pension Fund (N.P.F)


The Director-General of National Pension Commission ( P.E.N.C.O.M ) Ms Chinelo Anohu-Amazu said on monday that Nigeria's contributory pension fund has risen to over N5 trillion in its 10 years of operation,she said this while speaking at the second edition of the world pension summit (W.P.S) Africa special held at Abuja.

the summit beared the theme 'Building Sustainable Pension System In Africa'. DG  p.e.n.c.o.m said that the summit was designed to bring up practical and enduring strategies for pension fund regulation in the continent.

She said that sustainable pension system in Africa reflects to the emerging consensus of the contintnt on the need to institutionalize a large or robust pension system,she also disclosed that the aim of the summit is to evolve measures to tackle the plethora of development challenges that plagued Africa in the 21st century
