The possible Spice Girls reunion
just took a huge twist with news the group are in talks to tour with Backstreet
Boys next year.
That's right - the Wannabe superstars
have held discussions with the As Long As You Love Me boyband for the last 18
months, and they're still ongoing.
AJ McClean told the Daily Star:
"The Spice Girls tour has been this idea bouncing around for the past year
and a half, and it's something we're still talking about."
It is thought that the two groups
would tour the US together, which would allow the girls to play bigger venues
in the States.
A source added: "America had a
different relationship with the Spice Girls.
"They were big but their success
didn't last quite as long, so teaming with another act is a way of booking
bigger venues."
It is thought that Victoria Beckham
would focus on her fashion career rather than tour the US, but it's hoped all
five girls will hit the road in the UK before that run.
Meanwhile, Mel B recently
confirmed she was a driving force behind talks for a reunion and claimed Posh
Spice would have to be involved for any kind of comeback.
Speaking on the Meredith Vieira Show,
she said: "[Victoria] is my friend, I love her to pieces. If we do
something, it has to be all of us.
"That's the whole point. As soon
as there's something to actually announce, I'll be yelling it from the
rooftops!"
