Date For The Coronation Of The New OOni Of Ife Announced


Prince Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the 51st Ooni of Ife, will be crowned on Monday, November 30.

Ogunwusi who followed due process was unanimously voted by 14 out of 16 kingmakers as two of them were late. It was reported earlier that the oracle approved the nomination of Ogunwusi when the Ifa was consulted and that the kingmakers also voted in tandem with the choice of the oracle.

Oba Ogunwusi had been moved into seclusion at a shrine known as Ilofi in Ile-Ife, Osun state, where he would stay for 21 days.
