From Abuja To Owerri- An Experience I Will Never Forget

When people say experience is the best teacher, then u should know that its not just about the encounters but majorly on the lessons that he or she got from the encounter. i am about to share an amazing experience that will make u crack your ribs..
On the 5th of November 2011 that should be a Saturday i was supposed to come back to Owerri from Abuja for my aunty's wedding that will hold the week later. i boarded the peace mass bus going to Owerri from Kubwa peace park with joy that i was coming back for my aunties wedding, it was a lovely day and i was just to excited though i wasn't showing it because of my reserved nature.
The bus left the park around 7 am in the morning and we were just moving smoothly until i noticed that i was having a rumble in my Tommy not because i was hungry like tummy tummy would advertise but because i was seeing my Tommy grow due to the fact that i just couldn't leg-go of the serious air that wanted to come out of my my buttocks...it was a battle of my inner body and the environment and i tried so hard to resist it but all to no avail i tried and tried until i just couldn't hold it anymore. we had already sojourned into Owerri from Abuja by one hour before this battle began, when i let-go of the first gaseous something ( some call it fart some call it mess and other have a different name for it) i quickly looked at the faces of the people around and the faces of the people that were there in  the bus just to see the sad look while some others had to quickly squeeze their faces and some were wiping their faces with their handkerchief. I was not happy ooo but i almost laughed when i noticed the face of the driver, it was just something else and i couldn't help because his face was a combination of all the other faces......
I remember my aunt telling me that i needed to empty my bowel and a night before we traveled but i did not heed to that advise but my cousin sister, so on that faithful day i was the victim of a circumstance that i cant help myself with. Right there in the bus the only person that knew what i was going through was my cousin sis cos i just couldn't help but tell her the truth that i was responsible for all that.
After i let go of that air it was as if i had gotten a hold of myself and so i felt relaxed .....it was almost 12 noon when we got to an eatery somewhere in lokoja kogi state... we stopped to get something to eat and drink but i was not in the mood to eat anything but my aunt who is so good at making u eat when u don't want to eat made me eat and that began the second phase of my endless turmoil.... The truth being told is That I didn't tell my aunt what was happening to me. After about 20 minutes the driver call everyone so we can continue with our journey, we all entered the bus and the journey continued.
We rode for about 30 minutes until i started noticing this strange rumble like the first time. Without fear of intimidation I was donating the free air anyhow as it comes. I did this because rate at which my stomach increased was just too much and i was scared it would burst. But seriously u just couldn't help but notice the faces of my driver and the guy next to me, this made give out a sharp smile that nobody noticed except my cousin Sis. that will just maintain and pretend as if nothing was happening.
When we got to Benue the driver cried with a loud voice and said "who is killing me in this bus" in my native Igbo language and no one including me responded this this made the driver furious and he threatened to stop the bus but they all started shouting at him and saying all sorts of nonsense and i quietly maintained my ground not to say a word because i know that i was wrong. the driver didn't say any more word because he noticed that the smell wasn't coming any longer so he decided to just keep calm. when we got to Enugu it was as if the pressure came again and this time with full force that i just couldn't resist, so my dear readers i just had to release the something and this was were the driver sparked in anger without fear of being intimidated the driver stopped the bus and commanded that we must all go to empty our bowel if not he will not move the bus. some people started shouting at him saying "dont you know that this is a bushy area and that we can get rubbed" but the driver said that that was not his business and that we had already rubbed him of fresh air so until we empty our bowel, he will not move the bus.
In that moment of distress and anger every body started shouting while some were praying but i was only watching..it got to a point where the almost accused my aunt of being the culprit but she quickly resulted to the fact that they must curse...this made me remember the story of Jonah in the bible and i wanted to go and confess to the but before i could say a word my aunt already had a second thought and asked herself what if its my nephew that did this....so immediately she moved the motion against cursing  and it all ended though i did not even go to ease my self still so that they will not know that i was the one doing all that. wen the driver saw the amount of people that had gone to ease themselves he was a little pleased thinking that the culprit was among those that went to free themselves from natures grip. The argument took about 10 minutes of our time before the driver accepted to move the bus and from there i was just able to control myself cos i would release the air when there is excess breeze in the bus just to clear the air but whenever the breeze was small i'd just hold myself so that the driver will not stop the buss again... And since then i learnt a very big lesson....its an experience that i will never forget.
