At about 9 o'clock morning, a group of protesters gathered themselves at the national assembly gate to protest against the herdsmen killing in the nation. According to one of the protesters he said that they have come on a peaceful protest so as to create awareness that day by day more lives are being lost to the herdsmen attack not just in Benue but also in other states of the federation.
One would ask what truth did Danjuma unravel? We can recall that sometime in march, Gen T.Y Danjuma had called for self defense against herdsmen in the country stating that “The armed forces are not neutral; they collude with the armed bandits that kill people, kill Nigerians. They facilitate their movement. They cover them. If you are depending on the Armed Forces to stop the killings, you will all die one by one"
